Boards
Low wooden boards along the side of a grass field, no more than 11 inches high, that keep the ball in play.
A full size ground is 300 by 200 yards, narrowing to 160 wide if it is boarded. The smallest permitted is 250 by 175, or 145 boarded. Goalposts stand 8 yards apart measured inside to inside, at least 10 feet high, and light enough to give way if a pony hits one.
