Safety zone
The prepared ground beyond the lines. Anything that happens in it is judged as though it happened on the field.
A full size ground is 300 by 200 yards, narrowing to 160 wide if it is boarded. The smallest permitted is 250 by 175, or 145 boarded. Goalposts stand 8 yards apart measured inside to inside, at least 10 feet high, and light enough to give way if a pony hits one.
