Rule 17. Restart After Interval Between Chukkas
Blue Book 2026, Part 1, Rule 17 · Interruptions and Restarts After Break in Play
In plain English
Play restarts after an interval exactly as it would have done.
- After an interval the ball goes back into play in the same way and in the same place as it would have done had there been no interval.
- The one thing that changes it is a change of ends, in which case play restarts at the corresponding position at the other end.
The published wording of this one runs to a couple of sentences, so rather than reprint it: read rule 17 in the Blue Book 2026.
