Penalty 7a: defence got the procedure wrong, so take it again.

• If the side facing the hit gets the procedure wrong and no goal was scored or awarded, the penalty is taken again. A Penalty 5 also moves 30 yards closer, so creeping over the line early is expensive.
• If the hit would have gone in but a defender stopped it while their side was infringing, the goal is awarded.
• If both sides get the procedure wrong, the penalty is simply retaken at the same spot under the same conditions.

If the team facing the hit fails to carry out the correct procedure and no goal has been scored or awarded, the penalty shall be re-taken. In the case of a Penalty 5, it should be moved up 30 yards.
