Flags. Yellow is a warning that accumulates; red counts as two.

On the fieldFour yellows and you start your next four matches already carrying one, which means the next offence sends you off. Flags follow the player across the season, not just the match.

The clause that governs

A flag may be awarded in addition to any penalty awarded for the breach of any rule but will usually be awarded for dangerous play, unsportsmanlike conduct or persistent breach of the rules.
